There's actually a joint Danish-Canadian facility in Greenland where they can connect the EU and North American power grids. It needs a male-male wire that has a North American plug on one end and an EU plug on the other. It's behind glass so one of the guards has to break the glass in an emergency. I don't really know why they have this facility, all it can do is destroy either power grid
